The Florence Freedom (38-32) didn't stand a chance on Wednesday, as the Lake Erie Crushers (39-30) captured a blowout 8-2 win in eight innings at UCMC Stadium.
The Lake Erie Crushers scored two runs in the seventh on a solo home run by Seth Granger and a solo home run by Russell Moldenhauer.
Moldenhauer had two extra-base hits for the Lake Erie Crushers.
Brad Duffy recorded his second win of the year for the Lake Erie Crushers. Duffy struck out four, walked none and gave up two hits.
Brent Choban (3-6) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
The Lake Erie Crushers' Andrew Davis, Moldenhauer, Granger and Anderson Hidalgo combined for nine hits and five RBIs.
