A walk-off double from Dante Flores brought home the winning run for the Chatham Anglers (15-6) in a 3-2 victory over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (10-11) at Veterans Field on Monday.
Flores had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh and ninth innings.
Tommy Lawrence brought the heat against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox during his outing. Lawrence held the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
James Kaprielian was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Chatham Anglers batters and allowing zero runs.
