A five-run explosion in the second inning lifted the Chillicothe Paints (9-6) to an 8-2 win in eight innings over the West Virginia Miners (7-8) at Linda K. Epling Stadium on Friday.

Jossue Delgado racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.

Dale Davis had a hot bat for the West Virginia Miners. Davis went 2-3 and drove in one. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Adam Schaly recorded his second win of the year for the Chillicothe Paints. He allowed one run over five innings. Schaly struck out three, walked one and gave up five hits.

Pat Kregeloh ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
