The Nashua Silver Knights (18-7) beat the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (19-9) 6-4 in seven innings on Thursday at Holman Stadium behind Bryan Toland, who knocked in three runs.

Connor Root improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. Root struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Matt Timoney was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
