An ace performance by Steve Hagen spurred the La Crosse Loggers (4-3) to a 5-0 win in seven innings over the Green Bay Bullfrogs (4-2) on Wednesday at Joannes Stadium.
Hagen had an impressive outing against the Green Bay Bullfrogs' lineup. The Green Bay Bullfrogs managed just one hit off of the the La Crosse Loggers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his seven innings of work.
It was a good day at the plate for the La Crosse Loggers' Brandon DeFazio. DeFazio went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Robert Youngdahl ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
