The Corvallis Knights (1-0) and the Portland Lobos (0-1) traded the lead eight times on Tuesday, but the Corvallis Knights ended up on top with a 7-6 win over the Portland Lobos.

The Corvallis Knights pulled out the win thanks to a strong eighth inning. A sacrifice fly by Blake Drake scored Kevin Kline and gave the Corvallis Knights the lead for good.

Drake racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Corvallis Knights. He singled in the first, fifth, and sixth innings.

Sean Eberhardt looked sharp on the mound. Eberhardt held the Portland Lobos hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Matt Decker racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Portland Lobos. He doubled in the sixth inning.

Kyler Heaston couldn't get it done on the bump for the Portland Lobos, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
