Thomas Shull went 1-4 and hit a home run, sparking the RGV Whitewings (5-6) to a 6-3 victory over the Alexandria Aces (5-6) on Friday at Bringhurst Field.

Brandon Creath had an impressive outing against the RGV Whitewings' lineup. The RGV Whitewings managed just two hits off of the the Alexandria Aces' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

AJ Smouse got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Clay Vanderlaan was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
