Alex Bos hopes every outing could go as well as Tuesday, as Bos tossed a shutout to carry the Medicine Hat Mavericks (33-6) to an 8-0 victory over the Edmonton Prospects (6-35) at Telus Field.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks' Bos kept the Edmonton Prospects off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up two.

The offense exploded for the the Medicine Hat Mavericks in the eighth. In the inning the Medicine Hat Mavericks scored six runs.

Grant Silva got on base four times in the game for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the eighth inning.

Jordan Geiger couldn't get it done on the bump for the Edmonton Prospects, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 7 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out seven.
