AJ Florence went 2-2 as the Melville Millionaires (15-12) took home a 7-3 victory over the Regina Red Sox (13-15) at Currie Field on Sunday.
He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth innings.Homero Ortiz picked up the win for the Melville Millionaires. Ortiz pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four.
A bright spot for the Regina Red Sox in the defeat was Bronson Gillam, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.
Chris Untereiner led the Regina Red Sox's offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the seventh inning.
Justin Blue ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
