Five first-inning runs helped the Swift Current Indians (16-6) to a 6-4 win over the Melville Millionaires (10-12) at Mitchell Field on Saturday.

Danny Clifford was hot from the plate for the Swift Current Indians. Clifford went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Cody Chartrand looked sharp on the mound. Chartrand gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Matt Helms racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Melville Millionaires. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Anthony Armanino recorded his second win of the year for the Swift Current Indians. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out 10, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Callaway Kirkpatrick ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in eight innings, walked one and struck out seven.
