The Melville Millionaires (10-10) didn't stand a chance on Thursday, as the Medicine Hat Mavericks (17-3) captured a blowout 12-4 win at Athletic Park.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks scored six runs in the second on a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Chris Lindmark, , a triple by Grant Silva, an RBI single by Mitch Frey, and an RBI single by Joel Lutz.

Silva racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks relied on Billy Martin to eat up innings en route to the win. Martin pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out four.

The Melville Millionaires were led by Matt Helms's hitting. Helms went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.

Allen Rimer was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
