Edinburg Roadrunners vs Fort Worth Cats: 0-4

The Fort Worth Cats' Meeley comes through in the clutch, upends the Edinburg Roadrunners, 4-0

Daniel Meeley brought home the go-ahead run to give the Fort Worth Cats (3-0) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Fort Worth Cats hung on to beat the Edinburg Roadrunners (0-3) 4-0 on Thursday.

With the game scoreless in the seventh inning Meeley came to the plate and singled.

 

 

Kobi Melo did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Fort Worth Cats, reaching base three times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the third and eighth innings.

 

 

Stephen Nikonchik brought the heat against the Edinburg Roadrunners during his outing. Nikonchik held the Edinburg Roadrunners hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five.

 

Justin Klipp was effective even in defeat, mowing down 14 the Fort Worth Cats batters and allowing one run.

Klipp was the game's losing pitcher.
