An impressive effort by mickey collins spurred the MINOR THREAT (3-1) to a 9-3 win in seven innings over the boozers (3-1) on Monday at shorefront.

Collins racked up eight RBIs on three hits for the MINOR THREAT. He homered in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.

The MINOR THREAT's bats came to life in the fifth inning. The boozers had no answer as the MINOR THREAT scored five runs.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with four lead changes.

The MINOR THREAT pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A sacrifice fly by Mike Steinberg and gave the MINOR THREAT the lead for good.

tommy onorato got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Onorato struck out none, walked none and gave up 13 hits.

John Kelly (0-1) took the loss for the boozers. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked none and struck out none.
