A five-run eighth inning sealed a 14-3 win for the Alpine Cowboys (34-20) over the Santa Fe Fuego (25-28) on Wednesday at Fort Marcy Park.

Eric Herman racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Bryce Weidman improved to 4-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Alpine Cowboys. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked four and surrendered six hits.

Jon Sintes ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
