Sunday was a great day for Edison Alvarez, as Alvarez struck out eight batters to carry the Las Vegas Train Robbers (30-20) to a 13-1 victory over the Trinidad Triggers at Rodriguez Park.

Even in defeat, Frank Florio played well for the Trinidad Triggers (30-22).

It was a good day at the plate for the Trinidad Triggers' Florio. Florio went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers had no answer for Florio, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Florio held the Las Vegas Train Robbers hitless over one-third of an inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Las Vegas Train Robbers scored five runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win.
