The Wichita Wingnuts (5-4) beat the New Jersey Jackals 10-5 on Friday at Lawrence Dumont Stadium behind John Rodriguez, who knocked in three runs.
He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.Junior Guerra's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Wichita Wingnuts past the New Jersey Jackals. Guerra allowed one earned run, nine hits and no walks over seven innings.
Chris Curran led the New Jersey Jackals' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the third and fifth innings.
The Wichita Wingnuts' lineup had no answer for Chad Rose. Rose held the Wichita Wingnuts hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Craig Bennigson was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked one and struck out two.
