Brian Kolb went 2-2 as the Gary SouthShore RailCats (4-2) took home a 2-1 victory over the Wichita Wingnuts (3-3) at Gary, Ind. (U.S. Steel Yard) on Tuesday.
He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.Ari Ronick picked up the win for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. Ronick allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.
CJ Ziegler was hot from the plate for the Wichita Wingnuts. Ziegler went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
Jon Link (1-1) took the loss for the Wichita Wingnuts. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
