Pearl gives the Kansas City T-Bones late push to beat the Wichita Wingnuts, 5-4

Brandon Pearl drove in the go-ahead run to give the Kansas City T-Bones (1-1) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Kansas City T-Bones hung on to beat the Wichita Wingnuts (1-1) 5-4 on Friday.

Felix Molina singled to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Jairo Perez.

Molina paced the Kansas City T-Bones at the plate. Molina went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

The Kansas City T-Bones relied on Aaron Meade to eat up innings en route to the win. Meade allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Christopher M. Smith was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Kansas City T-Bones batters and allowing three runs.

Daniel Bennett (0-1) took the loss for the Wichita Wingnuts. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
