Kristen Butler went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the Chicago Bandits (31-10) to a 3-1 victory over the Akron Racers (14-27) on Friday at Firestone Stadium.

Monica Abbott kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven the Akron Racers batters. Abbott allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks over seven innings.

The Akron Racers were led by a flawless day at the dish by Kaylyn Castillo, who went 2-2 against the Chicago Bandits' pitching. She singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Ivy Renfroe couldn't get it done in the circle for the Akron Racers, taking a loss. She lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
