The USSSA Pride (22-10) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 10-5 to the Akron Racers (12-20) on Friday.

A solo home run by Taylor Schlopy gave the Akron Racers the lead in the fourth inning.

Schlopy went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Akron Racers. She singled in the first and second innings and homered in the fourth inning.

Andrea Duran racked up three RBIs on two hits for the USSSA Pride. She homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

The Akron Racers' lineup had no answer for Jordan Taylor. The Akron Racers managed just two hits off of the the USSSA Pride's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during her 2 2/3 innings of work.

Even though Rachele Fico allowed five runs over seven innings she still recorded the victory, her third of the season. She struck out one, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Keilani Ricketts ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with her second loss of the year. She allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
