Saturday was a great day for Vicky Galindo, as she clubbed two home runs to carry the Chicago Bandits (11-3) to a 6-5 victory over the Akron Racers (6-8) at Firestone Stadium.

Monica Abbott baffled the Akron Racers, striking out six batters. The Chicago Bandits' pitcher gave up just three hits over three shutout innings.

Andi Williamson recorded her third win for the Chicago Bandits even though she allowed five runs over four innings. Williamson struck out two, walked five and gave up five hits.

Ivy Renfroe couldn't get it done in the circle for the Akron Racers, taking a loss. She allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out four.

The Chicago Bandits were sparked by Galindo and Megan Wiggins, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.
