The Madness (2-3) trailed by five in the fifth, but the Madness recovered thanks to a key single in the seventh inning from Bobby McKenna to pull out a 17-10 win in seven innings over the Carlin Tappers (Rocco (0-1) at Clarissa Drive Field on Tuesday.
With the score tied at 10, McKenna came to the plate and singled, scoring Craig R Nieves.
McKenna led the Madness' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings.
The two teams combined for 27 runs and 29 hits, including zero extra base hits.
The Madness turned the win into a rout with seven runs in the seventh.
Ralph Berroa racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Madness. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the first and sixth innings.
Reggie Douglas got his second win for the Madness despite allowing 10 runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked 11 and surrendered 13 hits.
