The AA Angels outlast the AA Indians in high-scoring affair, 12-10

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the AA Angels (2-1) outscored the AA Indians (0-3) 12-10 in seven innings.

The two teams combined for 23 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.

The AA Angels pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. A passed ball scored Josh Rice to give the AA Angels the lead for good.

The AA Angels would not relinquish the lead as the AA Indians were unable to weather a four-run fourth inning deficit.

The AA Indians scored two runs in the seventh on an error and a passed ball. Unfortunately, the AA Indians weren't able to take the lead back.

Eric Larson improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the AA Angels. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Connor Fitzgerald (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out four.

The AA Angels were sparked by James Stuckey and Graeme Baxter, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.
