Tyler Wampler collected three hits, sparking the Terre Haute Rex (29-27) to a 6-3 victory over the Springfield Sliders (10-45) on Thursday at Robin Roberts Field.

The Terre Haute Rex relied on Louis Cohen to eat up innings en route to the win. Cohen allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Lucas Leifeld had two extra-base hits for the Springfield Sliders. He doubled in the second and eighth innings.

Chance Simpson couldn't get it done on the bump for the Springfield Sliders, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
