Michael Koltak pitched nine shutout innings, but it wasn't enough to carry the Lorain County Ironmen (22-35) to a win on Thursday, as the Lorain County Ironmen fell to the Butler Blue Sox (33-24) 1-0 at Pullman Park in 17 innings.

Tyler Ferguson baffled the Lorain County Ironmen, striking out 13 batters. The Butler Blue Sox's pitcher tossed 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.

A walk-off hit into a fielder's choice by Michael Pezzone gave the Butler Blue Sox the win.

Pezzone was hot from the plate for the Butler Blue Sox. Pezzone went 2-8. He singled in the fifth and eleventh innings.

Tyler Swarmer got the win, running his season record to 2-3. Swarmer struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.

Eric Hall (1-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
