Cooper Mickelson collected three hits as the Slippery Rock Sliders (25-30) took home a 3-2 victory over the West Virginia Miners (35-20) at Jack Critchfield Park on Tuesday.
He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.The Slippery Rock Sliders relied on Matt Riggs to eat up innings en route to the win. Riggs allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out three over eight innings of work.
Brandon Koch (6-3) took the loss for the West Virginia Miners. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
