The Terre Haute Rex (27-26) and the Quincy Gems (33-20) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Terre Haute Rex that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-3 win at Quincy Stadium.

Brian Wolfe racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Kendall Paluch picked up the win for the Terre Haute Rex. Paluch allowed no earned runs, five hits and three walks while striking out none over six innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Quincy Gems' Austin Tribby dominated the Terre Haute Rex's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out eight.

Brady Arenson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked six and struck out three.
