An exceptional effort by Chris Tuma carried the Slippery Rock Sliders (24-29) to a 5-0 win over the Lorain County Ironmen (20-33) on Saturday at Jack Critchfield Park.

The Slippery Rock Sliders' Tuma kept the Lorain County Ironmen off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out four.

Aaron Lindgren got on base three times in the game for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He tripled in the fourth inning.

Eric Hall was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
