The Butler Blue Sox (29-21) beat the Slippery Rock Sliders (22-28) 8-2 on Wednesday thanks to a four-run seventh inning.

Matt Peters led the Butler Blue Sox's offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the first and fourth innings.

Tyler Ferguson put together a nice outing. Ferguson held the Slippery Rock Sliders hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Adam Aldred improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Butler Blue Sox. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered eight hits.

Cole Lentz (0-1) took the loss for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
