The West Virginia Miners cruise past the Lorain County Ironmen, 10-0

The West Virginia Miners (34-18) pounded the Lorain County Ironmen (20-32) on Sunday 10-0 at Linda K. Epling Stadium.

A three-run double by Kaeo Aliviado and an RBI single by Pat Kregeloh helped the West Virginia Miners score four runs in the sixth. The West Virginia Miners had four hits in the inning.

Douglas Votolato was hot from the plate for the West Virginia Miners. Votolato went 4-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

Jaesung Hwang baffled the Lorain County Ironmen, striking out six batters. The West Virginia Miners' pitcher tossed 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.

Joshua James got the win, running his season record to 1-1. James struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.

Jake Post couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lorain County Ironmen, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out five.
