The West Virginia Miners (12-11) failed to take advantage of great day from Jaesung Hwang on Saturday, losing 2-1 to the Butler Blue Sox (13-10) at Pullman Park.
Hwang pitched eight innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and no walks while striking out five.
Jon Anderson's seven strikeouts helped the Butler Blue Sox to the victory. Anderson allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over eight innings.
Hwang (3-1) took the loss for the West Virginia Miners.
