Aaron Michel kept the Springfield Sliders (4-19) off the board during his six innings of work and the Quincy Gems (16-7) beat the Springfield Sliders, 11-0.

Michel allowed three hits, three walks and struck out four.

Six runs in the opening three innings allowed the Quincy Gems to easily put away the Springfield Sliders. A sacrifice fly by Thomas Richards, a two-run double by Ryan Light, an RBI single by Jake Ivory, and an RBI single by Erik Maki in the first inning helped the Quincy Gems put some runs on the board early.

Richards racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Quincy Gems.
