Cam Knott struck out six batters to lift the Lorain County Ironmen (8-11) to a 5-3 win over the Butler Blue Sox (11-8) at The Pipe Yard.
The Lorain County Ironmen were led by Isaac Smith's hitting. Smith went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
Anthony Caringi ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
