Hwang allowed five hits, one walk and struck out eight.
Kaeo Aliviado helped the West Virginia Miners take the lead for good in the sixth inning. Jordan Parris singled to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a single by Nick Paxton.
Matt Warren (0-1) took the loss for the Butler Blue Sox. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
