The Lorain County Ironmen (4-2) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Chillicothe Paints (3-4), and the Lorain County Ironmen lost 4-2 to the Chillicothe Paints after falling behind by four runs in the fifth inning.

The Lorain County Ironmen scored on a solo home run by Issac Smith in the sixth inning and a solo home run by Derek Sprout in the seventh inning. Still, the Lorain County Ironmen couldn't catch the Chillicothe Paints.

Troy Kuhn racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

The Chillicothe Paints relied on Chris Thomas to eat up innings en route to the win. Thomas allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Smith boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Lorain County Ironmen.

Brad Raley (0-1) took the loss for the Lorain County Ironmen. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
