Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Lorain County Ironmen (4-1) outscored the Slippery Rock Sliders (2-3) 13-9.

The teams totaled 23 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with seven lead changes.

The Lorain County Ironmen pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. Scored Ryan Wonders and Billy Salem and gave the Lorain County Ironmen the lead for good.

Zach Ratcliff racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lorain County Ironmen. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh and eighth innings.

Cam Knott got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Alex Watson was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
