Two pitchers baffled the Pineville Pioneers (11-14) and teamed up to throw a no-hitter for the Lake Norman Copperheads (17-12) in a 2-1 victory in eight innings on Friday at Jack Hughes Park.

Schneider brought the heat against the Pineville Pioneers during his outing. Schneider held the Pineville Pioneers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four.

Despite the loss, the Pineville Pioneers' Daniel Barfield dominated the Lake Norman Copperheads' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.

Pistacchio improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He allowed one run over four innings. Pistacchio struck out five, walked four and gave up no hits.

Barfield (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher.
