Christian Triplett went 2-2, helping the Carolina Vipers (3-8) to a 2-0 victory over the Pineville Pioneers (6-4) on Wednesday at East Mecklenburg HS.

Spencer Sox boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Pineville Pioneers. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Logan Willard brought the heat against the Carolina Vipers during his outing. Willard gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Michael Laurenti recorded his first win of the year for the Carolina Vipers. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Spencer Greer (0-2) took the loss for the Pineville Pioneers. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
