Jordan Betts had two extra base hits, sparking the Orleans Firebirds (17-18) to a 5-4 victory over the Bourne Braves (16-17) on Wednesday at Doran Park.

The Bourne Braves couldn't get anything going as long as Kyle Twomey was pitching. The Bourne Braves managed just one hit off of Twomey, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

The Bourne Braves' Pat Kelly was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.

The Orleans Firebirds couldn't get anything going so long as Will Cox was on the hill. Cox held the Orleans Firebirds hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Jaron Long was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
