The Harwich Mariners (4-3) and the Cotuit Kettleers (6-2) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Harwich Mariners that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Whitehouse Field.
Johnathan Frebis had an impressive outing against the Cotuit Kettleers' lineup. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just two hits off of Frebis, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
Evan Beal was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
