Mike Torres collected three hits, sparking the Windy City ThunderBolts (38-40) to an 8-4 victory over the Joliet Slammers (32-46) on Thursday at Standard Bank Stadium.

The Joliet Slammers had no answer for Jessie Snodgrass, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Joliet Slammers managed just one hit off of Snodgrass, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Seth Schwindenhammer racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh and eighth innings.

Markus Solbach recorded his third win of the year for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Shawn Kale (4-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
