The Evansville Otters (36-38) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 7-2 to the Schaumburg Boomers (45-30) on Sunday.

A groundout by Sean Mahley gave the Schaumburg Boomers the lead in the fifth inning.

Gerard Hall reached base four times in the game for the Schaumburg Boomers. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He singled in the first and seventh innings.

Seth Webster struck out eight, paving the way for a the Schaumburg Boomers win. Webster allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Trevor Walch (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
