Jose Flores knocked in three runs as the Gateway Grizzlies (45-30) took home a 4-2 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (44-30) at Wuerfel Park on Sunday.
He doubled in the fifth inning.The Gateway Grizzlies relied on Aaron Baker to eat up innings en route to the win. Baker pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out five.
Chase Burch had a hot bat for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Burch went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Michael Devine (5-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
