An exceptional effort by Jacob Tanis carried the Florence Freedom (35-26) to a 10-4 win over the Traverse City Beach Bums (37-24) on Sunday at Wuerfel Park.
Tanis racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Florence Freedom. He homered in the sixth and ninth innings.

Chase Burch racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.
Steve Matre got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Matt Miller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed one run.
