The Windy City ThunderBolts (25-34) used a three-run explosion in the seventh inning to get past the Evansville Otters (28-29) 7-1 on Thursday at Standard Bank Stadium.

Zach Aakhus racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He singled in the second inning, doubled in the third inning, and homered in the seventh inning.

The Windy City ThunderBolts relied on Matt Wickswat to eat up innings en route to the win. Wickswat pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out five.

Blake Monar was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
