An ace performance by Drew Rucinski carried the Rockford Aviators (19-35) to a 5-1 win over the Washington Wild Things on Monday at CONSOL Energy Park.
Rucinski's 10 strikeouts were enough to push the Rockford Aviators past the Washington Wild Things (25-30). Rucinski allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over nine innings.
Jeff Kremer racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Rockford Aviators. He singled in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings.
Shawn Blackwell couldn't get it done on the bump for the Washington Wild Things, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
