The Florence Freedom (30-20) and the Washington Wild Things (23-27) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Florence Freedom that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-1 win at UCMC Stadium.
The Florence Freedom got the win thanks in large part to Michael Oros's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Oros allowed one earned run on five hits and four walks over six innings.
Shawn Sanford (5-4) took the loss for the Washington Wild Things. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
