A walk-off three-run home run from Jonathan Johnson brought home the winning run for the Gateway Grizzlies (31-18) in a 9-7 victory over the Evansville Otters (26-22) in 11 innings at GCS Ballpark on Friday.
Johnson racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the first innings and homered in the eleventh inning.
Chris McClendon hit two home runs for the Gateway Grizzlies. McClendon went 3-4 in the game with two RBIs and three runs scored. McClendon homered in the third and seventh innings.
Jason Sullivan got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over one inning. Sullivan struck out none, walked one and gave up two hits.
Christian Kowalchuk couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Evansville Otters, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
