The Joliet Slammers (20-27) put in a full day's work in a 10-inning, 7-6 win over the Normal CornBelters (25-22) Sunday at The Corn Crib.
Riley racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Joliet Slammers. He homered in the second inning.
The Normal CornBelters had no answer for Brett Zawacki, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Zawacki held the Normal CornBelters hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Despite the loss, the Normal CornBelters' Ross Davis dominated the Joliet Slammers' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.
Davis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year.
