The Joliet Slammers (19-27) beat the Normal CornBelters (25-21) 4-1 on Tuesday at The Corn Crib behind Michael Wing, who went 1-3.

Justin Erasmus put together a nice outing. Erasmus held the Normal CornBelters hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Tyler Lavigne allowed one earned run, four hits and six walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Chase Doremus got the win, running his season record to 2-3. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Mitch Mormann (3-3) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
